About Me

Telling stories that drive change

I never imagined myself in communications. As an introvert, I wasn’t the person who naturally took center stage or spoke the loudest in meetings or class. But what I lacked in volume, I made up for in clarity, strategy, and purpose. Over time, I discovered that communication isn’t just about speaking. It’s about ensuring the right message reaches the right people in a way that moves them to act. And that’s where I thrive.

Currently, I work as a Communications and Engagement Advisor at the Christian Health Association of Alberta (CHAA), where I develop strategies that support non-profit continuing care organizations in Alberta. My work includes advocacy communications, stakeholder engagement, digital storytelling, and strategic content creation.

Beyond my professional role, I’m passionate about women’s health, adolescent health, and global health, and I actively work on side projects that empower and educate communities. This includes initiatives like the Savvy Girls Empowerment Initiative and other health awareness campaigns.

On this platform, I share:

  • My portfolio – showcasing my work in health and non-profit communications.
  • My thoughts – reflections on industry trends, women’s health, introverted leadership, digital engagement and my experiences as an introverted communications professional.
  • Passion projects & collaborations – the work I’m doing beyond my 9-to-5 to support meaningful causes and pursue my passion projects like For Savvy Girls NG & CA, Unpierced Co and Affirmi Bottles Co.

Whether you’re here to explore my work, collaborate, or just gain insights, I’d love to connect! Let’s tell stories that matter.

My Why

Why do I do this? Because I believe information shapes the world.

Communication is more than just words. It is the bridge between people, ideas, and change. In the health and non-profit sectors, clear and compelling storytelling isn’t just important; it’s essential. It determines whether people access the care they need, whether organizations gain support, and whether highly important issues get the attention they deserve.

As a multi-passionate professional with a background in public health, strategic communications, and writing, I thrive at the intersection of health, advocacy, and digital engagement. My passion lies in simplifying complex health topics, making information more accessible, brainstorming communication strategies and crafting narratives that inspire action.
